Growing and leveraging leading-edge technology in our industry, the Information Technology department supports Yellowstone Landscape through a variety of strategic solutions that offer greater business efficiency, ensure data security and privacy, and support new business opportunities for our organization. Our team functional support includes, but is not limited to: Helpdesk support, System Administration, IT Project Management, Business Intelligence, Application Development, Database Administration, WAN/LAN Network, IT Security, New System Evaluations and Systems/Service based contracts that many times involve Intellectual Property (IP).

The Yellowstone Landscape Information Technology Summer Internship Program is a comprehensive learning and professional opportunity for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for technology. Interns gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job-training, and learn about the many technology professions available in the Landscape Industry.


  • Utilize skills gained through training and experience to assist with specific projects within an assigned technical area for a specified period of time.
  • Use judgment to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to apply to more complex assignments.
  • Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level.
  • Participate in team project challenges that produce tangible outcomes for the business.
  • Interns will be strategically placed within a designated team in the Technology organization that matches their skills and experience and desires for growth.
  • Interns will be given opportunities to grow in other technology areas and may include: Application Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, Information Security, Project Management, System Administration and Service Delivery Administration.
  • Specified projects and varied assignments.
  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Knowledge of:

  • Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a professional office environment.
  • Basic concepts, principles and practices of a technology unit.

Skill in:

  • Operating or having the ability to learn standard office equipment use and required software applications.
  • Utilize skills gained through training and experience to assist with specific projects within an assigned technical area for a specified period of time.

Ability to:

  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Provide a high level of internal customer service.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships


  • Applicants are required to be enrolled in a college degree program. Candidates enrolled in degrees related to Information Technology or Computer Science are preferred.
